Possible HTTP encode blocks the HTTPS redirect

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesBurnEnginePossible HTTP encode blocks the HTTPS redirect

This topic has been marked as not resolved.

Hi,

Please explain how to to fix possible HTTP encode in the Organie theme that interferes with the normal work of the HTTPS redirect. Since it seems to be the current Opencart 2.0 version issue. The SSL certificate is installed and activated. The redirects are done. However, the Admin in the back-office doesn’t load its pages, they just go blank.

There are bugs or something? Please advise us.

Thanks,

Vesela

I have added 2 screenshots of the website and the Admin dashboard. I’m regrettably using the Organie theme. Across the home page of the website and in the Admin area, at Dashboard level, you’ll see 6 lines of this:
“Notice: Undefined variable: expire in /home/laskilcc/yoghsoap.com/system/library/template.php on line 9Notice: Undefined variable: expire in /home/laskilcc/yoghsoap.com/system/library/template.php on line 9Notice: Undefined variable: expire in /home/laskilcc/yoghsoap.com/system/library/template.php on line 9Notice: Undefined variable: expire in /home/laskilcc/yoghsoap.com/system/library/template.php on line 9Notice: Undefined variable: expire in /home/laskilcc/yoghsoap.com/system/library/template.php on line 9Notice: Undefined variable: expire in /home/laskilcc/yoghsoap.com/system/library/template.php on line 9Notice: Undefined variable: expire in /home/laskilcc/yoghsoap.com/system/library/template.php on line 9Notice: Undefined variable: expire in /home/laskilcc/yoghsoap.com/system/library/template.php on line 9Notice: Undefined variable: expire in /home/laskilcc/yoghsoap.com/system/library/template.php on line 9Notice: Undefined variable: expire in /home/laskilcc/yoghsoap.com/system/library/template.php on line 9Notice: Undefined variable: expire in /home/laskilcc/yoghsoap.com/system/library/template.php on line 9″
It has caused us only problems. The moment I enable the SSL certificate, we can no longer access the Admin, neither can we log in. This is some in-built error that we can’t solve. This is a theme for e-commerce that doesn’t accept SSL and HTTPS secure connection?! Can you please advise how to solve this mega-problem. Why is this theme sold for online stores when it lacks the basic tenets for one: security? We’re extremely disappointed and worried. Thanks,

Hi Vesela,

Can you provide website url, admin and ftp access, so we can check?

You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

Hello TB team,
Thank you for getting back to me!
The way things stand now is that in the admin area we cannot access the BurnEngine sections i.e. o the vertical left-hand side menu, section BE and all its sub-sections Theme settings, Menu composer, Page builder, etc. The pages begin to load. After a few seconds, the screen goes blank white. We’re still doing work on the site so we disable the certificate. The pages in question then load properly. You understand that we can’t do without the certificate and the security connection being an online store. At the same time, we need to be able to operate freely in the back-office.
As per your request, here are the details you needed:

Apologies bit I don’t know what ftp is.
Thank you again for your help & I remain available for further information.
Best,
Vesela

Hi Vesela,

Have you resolved the HTTPS problem? We’ve logged into your website and see that HTTPS is enabled and no problems appear.

Hello,
No, the problem is not resolved. Please log into the website’s admin area and try opening the Menu Composer or the Page Builder. You will see that these pages do not load. None of the pages related to the theme actually load in the admin when the the HTTPS is enabled.
Thanks and best wishes,

Vesela

Hi,

your opencart installation misconfigured. You had to edit /system/config/admin.php and set $_['site_ssl'] to true. We changed it and now everything works as expected.

Hi,

this is known OpenCart 2.2.0.0 bug with SSL and is not connected with our theme. The workaround is to change the value of site_ssl to true in system\config\catalog.php. We have changed it for you, but we recommend upgrade to OpenCart 2.3.0.2.
