This topic has been marked as resolved.

Hi there,

I recently upgraded to OC 1.5.6.1 and also to Shoppica 2.2.4.
However my banners are now not showing?
The banners sets are still saved in admin but do not show on the page.

I did notice that the options for banner placement is only available on the right after upgrade, whereas before in version 2.2.1 I had the option of banner placement on the left, which is also where my sidebar is set in general shoppica settings

However, the banners do not display even if I set to content top or content bottom.

When I upgraded I used the changelog files and did so manually as I modified the category & home templates.

I have now noticed that shoppica upgrade was 2.2.4…however, the changelog http://shoppica2.com/docs/files_changelog.html
only goes 2.2.1 =>2.2.2=> 2.2.3, which is states is the latest version.

Is there an up to date changelog? Maybe this is the issue with the banners?

Edited to add: I have also discovered an issue with product tabsĀ  linking to homepage not tab content since upgrade, which I started a seperate support thread for.

Hi,

We will take a look at this issue; just wanted to tell you about the changelog. You can find it in theme package > Documentation folder :)

You didn’t update Shoppica properly in accordance with the documentation. You need to replace /catalog/model/setting/extension.php with the one provided with the Shoppica package. We uploaded the file and now everything works as expected.

That is great thank you!

Actually you know, when you say I didn’t update properly according to the documentation, your changelog provided in the theme package folder =>documentation makes no mention of the catalog/model/setting/extension.php

perhaps if it needs to be updated you should include it in the changelog?

but thanks for finding the source of the error.

Hi,

Sorry, but we been a little bit inaccurate in our previous post.

/catalog/model/setting/extension.php hasn’t been changed for quite a long time and that is why, it is not included in the changelog. However, when you’ve uploaded the newer version OC files, you’ve also uploaded the original non modified file, which brought up all the problems.
