How do we make use of the selection for layout under:
Page Builder > Blocks > Best Seller / Latest / Special / Featured Products > Product Styles Tab > Item Box > Layout
I see there is a drop down selection where only “Default” is showing. I see that the Technopolis theme has a couple other selections here, are you planning on adding these features to other themes using BurnEngine as well?
ALSO:
I like the addition of Special Price Countdown, but why has it only been added to Best Sellers and Featured? It would make more sense if it was either available for ALL product blocks, or at least on Featured and Special Products blocks.

Another feature that I would find extremely useful is if you gave users the ability to choose a sort order for different parts of the product listing, for example, someone might like to have the Special Price Countdown block showing BEFORE the price of the product or BEFORE the image for the product listing.

Hi,
1) Layout is a place for predefined product listing styles. The idea is to have different built-in styles (templates) for different themes. If it shows only the “default” value, then your theme does not have any built-in listing templates.
2) The missing of the countdown enable/disable option for all product blocks (except system ones) is a total miss from our side. We will add this as fix with the upcoming update.
3) Order of product elements would be a great improvement. We’ve even have the idea to provide a mini builder to do this visually with drag and drop. Maybe in some future version we will have the time to implement this really useful feature.

Hi Brett,
We’ve attached the part from the Technopolis theme that is setting up custom product listing templates.
You will see the key that needs to be placed in the theme config. It holds the route to the custom listing template, name of the template and disabled options (optional).
There are also the templates themselves. You can use them as reference of what is possible to use.

To confirm, the config.php is additional code that should be added to:
/system/vendor/BurnEngine/themes/pavilion/config.php correct?
Could you please specify where the template folder should be placed?

Take the key from the example config and place it in the config of your theme. The template folder should be placed in the theme folder too:
/system/vendor/BurnEngine/themes/pavilion/templates

Generally this feature was not intended for a public use. Moreover, it would be used by only a couple of hardcore users (like you)

Hardcore? Really?
The only thing that kind of sucks about doing it this way is that the config file gets overwritten when updating the theme so a backup needs to be kept. I guess a child-theme could be made but that would require moving everything over to the new child theme and I’m not really interested in doing that right now.
