Livepreview works for me on Beta6, apart of background and some other minor issues rendering it correctly. But by and large, it works and shows the page as it would appear for the customer.

I share here issues & solutions I found at beta4 (not sure if it was fixed on 5 or 6 versions).
——-

ISSUE 1: Vertical menu spearator doesn’t get (border) colors. It inherits the body color. Works fine on horizontal menu though.

SOLUTION:
BurnEngine/widget/MenuWidget.php

Replace:
‘elements’ => ‘nav > ul > li:before’,

With:
‘elements’ => ‘
nav > ul > li:before,
nav > ul > li
‘,

——-

ISSUE 2: Add to cart button doesn’t get FONTS configurations on product page

SOLUTION:
view/theme/BurnEngine/template/product/product.tpl

Add .tb_button_add_to_cart to add to cart button:

<button type="button" id="button-cart" data-loading-text="” class=”btn tb_button_add_to_cart”>

@TB Support:

I noticed the issues I reported above were fixed on BETA 6.

However, the bugs I reported here (http://support.themeburn.com/topic/burnengine-pavilion-2-beta-bugs/page/7/#post-44511), has not been fixed.

May you say if it only happens with me? Haven’t you been able to find the problem?

Here is updated preview on Safari (iOS):

I have this problem with fonts. Still can’t change them as it was in my case with Pavilion 1.2.9. Should I wait for next release or should I try to reintall OpenCart and Burn Engine (reinstalation of BurnEngine alone doesn’t change anything)?

@TB Support:
I even tried BETA 6 on a fresh 2.1.0.1 installation, with demo data.

The bug I reported above ocurrs on Safari (mac), Chrome and Safari (iOS).

@TB Support:

Sorry for overposting guys.
After some investigation, I found the reason for the bug of breaking the first line on all grid elements, in iOS and Safari (mac).

It is being caused because the containers have a clearfix class, that has css content: ”;
These browsers probably places an empty space there, breaking the first line. Since the grids are generated using exact percentages.

Please check the pictures attached for better understanding.

Hope I have helped,
Thanks,

Little bug on category menu (themebuilder) I think.

When I change the visibility for level 2 or 3 to “hidden” on categories (themebuilder) this subcategories still shows up on category page. Or is this correct behavior?

Look also:

Also a suggestion for (side) category menu):
Can you hide the togglebutton when there are no subcategories?

On the mobile menu this is correct

@tecoad

Thanks for reporting this bug. Will remove the clearfix class for product listings.

Hello there,

I’m loving the BurnEngine so far – I cant believe how quick it all is. The gtmetrix google pagespeed and yslow scores are 94 and 97 and I haven’t even turned on the cache yet.

I have encountered a problem. I cant seem to get banners in my intro section to display at correct size. I don’t know if I am misunderstanding something?

My Banners are 1000px x 272px. In the browser they are being autosized to 1090.91 x 296.727 meaning the image blurred.

Under BurnEngine>Theme setting > style > common > site width is 1000px. The Wrapper and Header Layouts are set to ‘Full’ Intro layout is ‘fixed’
In the BurnEngine > Layouts> Intro> Banner theme block panel I set the banner aspect ratio as 1000/272 and the max-height as 272px. Min height is just 0.

I can’t figure out where the resize issue is coming from at all…

Hope you can help!
Many thanks

@hotscotchbonnet

Here is the logic that the banner obeys to:

1) Banner block will take up all the available width of its container (row).

2) Banner will resize proportionally (based on aspect ratio)…

3) …until it reaches one of the min/max height values. Then it will expand / collapse only horizontally.

4) Banner background image will cover the entire banner area and it will be scaled up/down, if needed.

From the example pages, you have given we haven’t seen a banner that takes more than 1000px (the content width of the site). Generally, if you have an area/row that is either with a fixed width or has a content with a fixed width, you cannot have something inside to go beyond the maximum website width (you can still set some negative margin though).

OK thanks! It looks like it was Firefox throwing everything out. I hit control + 0 and it reset zoom to default. Sorry about that – it didn’t occur to me that the browser had its own resize settings independent of the page.

BETA7 released.

All of the reported issues have been fixed and the shared folder has been updated. Just re-upload and overwrite the existing files.

For Beta7 you need to manually uninstall and install again some modules in case you have enabled them. These are the SEO Pack, the OpenCart general performance optimizations and the Newsletter (within the BurnEngine panel).

You may have to re-save the theme colors as well. Just enter the `BurnEngine panel -> Theme Settings -> Colors` and hit ‘Save colors’.

If you continue to receive errors or notifications (you shouldn’t normally), you may need to re-install the BurnEngine module (just uninstall it and install it again from the OpenCart modules menu).

You should expect stable experience from this release. If no major issues come out within a week, the beta7 version will become final.

Thank you all for your time.

Regards,
ThemeBurn team

I get this even after reinstalation of BurnEngine Module:

@TB Support:

From BETA7:

- A margin top/bottom has been added to input-lg elements, causing the some elements to be unaligned, such as the search button inside compact search, in header.
- The issue I reported previously, has not been fixed:

——-
Vertical menu spearator doesn’t get (border) colors. It inherits the body color. Works fine on horizontal menu though.

SOLUTION:
BurnEngine/widget/MenuWidget.php

Replace:
‘elements’ => ‘nav > ul > li:before’,

With:
‘elements’ => ‘
nav > ul > li:before,
nav > ul > li
‘,
——-

That’s it for now…
Great job guys
