Another issue/bug we have noticed.
If DB cache is enabled, customer reward points are not showing up after completing an order.
If viewing a specific order in the admin panel, the points are visible. However when editing a customer in the admin panel, the reward points/order ID don’t show up.
After disabling the DB Cache and testing again, everything works.
Any quick fix we can apply?

The issue is confirmed. We’re still looking for a fix though. For now, turn off the database cache.
|
|
Will do.
Another thing with cache is we ran a google speed test on our page and compared it to your minimal.pavillion-theme.com
Ours scored very low with some issues like images not being cached/compressed.

Please advise, this downgrades our SEO.

I’ve disabled the DB cache, however the points are not showing up in “edit customer”, they only show up on the actual order in the admin panel where it says add/remove points. But the customer isn’t able to see the points, it shows “0″.
The only way the issue is fixed is by disabling all TB Cache options.
Can you please update on the status of this?
Thanks!

About the page speed – did you follow the documentation advises ?
We will check about the customer points.
|
|
Yes I just updated it according to your documentation.
However, we cant enable cache until the “points” issue is sorted out, hence the performance is suffering.
Please provide an ETA. Thanks.

Adding myself to this convo, seems caching creates several problems and I need to know whats being done about it.

Can you please update on the progress with this issue?

We are working on this issue regardless of the bumps. It turned out to be more complex than it sounds. It is connected with a few other issues that’s why we don’t push status updates. We should resolve and test them all in order to push a new BurnEngine release thereafter.
Because this issue can be mitigated when you turn off the database cache, we considered it not critical and that’s why we’ll wait until we clean our current issue queue before releasing an update, combined with a few new features.
Regards,
ThemeBurn team

The issue still persists even if DB Cache is off. The only way this issue is resolved by turning off All Cache options.

Is there some sort of temporary fix we can apply to increase the speed? The site is on a dedicated machine, no other sites on it but it’s loading really slow compared to Pavillion. Google page speed test is getting horrible grades.

We cannot replicate the reward points issue when the OpenCart Performance+ extension is uninstalled. Are you sure you have uninstalled it from the theme control panel (see attached image) ?
