Can't install theme, please help

I have been trying to install the Kiddos theme since last night with no luck. I am getting this message when I go to install BurnEngine: —- BurnEngine has not been installed due to the following reason(s): The folder /home/sentrye3/public_html/system/modification/ needs to be writable for OpenCart to work. Please change its permissions to 777 Please, correct the errors above and then try to install the theme module again — The folder it is asking me to change permissions on is not a folder. It is an xml file. It is also my understanding that changing the permissions to 777 is a major security vulnerability. I did change it to 777 and it still won’t install. I really want this theme, but I am getting very disenchanted with the fact that I have tried over and over to get it to install. I have also tried various versions of OpenCart with no luck. My store needs to be online and I can\’t afford to wait much longer. Any suggestions?	berserker81

Update: After trying several versions of OpenCart, I finally got it to install correctly using OpenCart version 2.0.3.1.	berserker81
