Category – Sidebar Accordion open to sub-category

This topic has been marked as not resolved.

Hi

1) on my website when selecting an item from the main menu or submenu – the sidebar menu accordion expands to display the same category – except on my menu a few aren’t trigging the accordion and those just stay with the first category expanded.

How can I fix this?

2) Is there a way or plans to include a way to upload a pdf data sheet via the text editor like you can with an image?

Any help or advice appreciated.

Hi – Any update?

1) Work out what the issue was with the side bar menu Accordion not being triggered to the correct section by the main or sub menus.

After trying re-ordering the numbers to see if it was an order number issue – realised the categories that weren’t triggering correctly were also not appearing in the “All” category mega menu.

These categories needs the “Top Menu” ticking in the Category admin for them to work as they had previously been sub menu items and added to the main menu via the menu builder in the control panel.

Now they work fine.

2) Any answer on this would be appreciated.

Hi,

What exactly do you want to do with this PDF? Add it as an attached file? Or embed it to be visible?

Can’t you just insert the data sheet as an HTML table?

Hi – the client wants to add a pdf data sheet to a product page and to a Downloads page…

The client doesn’t have FTP to the site – so can’t just upload and then add the url link to the page – and was asking if there is a way they can upload a PDF in the same way the text editor lets them upload an image.

It looks like there are extensions that are available for opencart to do this but I’m not sure if they are compatible with Pavilion theme…

So is there any plan to add this facility to the text editor/theme/page builder or a recommended way to do this?

Any info appreciated

Hi,

You should use some 3rd party file uploader that has a separate page to manage the uploads. The idea is to upload a file, take the link and then use this link in the product description editor.

Unfortunatey, we don’t have any experience with such extensions and cannot recommend any.
