Error message when you checkout

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesShoppica OpenCart ThemeError message when you checkout

I was setting up my shipping and payments and everything went great until I tried a test checkout and everything went great until the final step when you pick a payment and accept the terms and conditions and I get an error message (SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character) when I try to go to the final confirm order page. Is there anyway to fix this??

This is not related to Shoppica Theme. There must be something wrong with the payment method you are using. I had the same problem. In my case the payment model file from catalog/model/payment was missing. Try checking all the files related to your payment method to see if they exist, or if they have errors.

Hi,

As alexh2084 said, this could be an OpenCart issue. We have tested the whole checkout proccess and found no issues until now.

I have just installed a clean opencart (same files I used when installing my store) without the shoppica files and the checkout process works, with the files I get the same error as original poster.

Please, give us more information about the error. Does it happen with every payment method or it is specific to only one of them ? Also, give us more details about your environment, as suggested here.

It happens with every option, I tried disabling and enabling all individually as suggested. In the end I redownloaded from Themeforest and on a fresh install it is now working.. no idea what the cause was but new theme files fixed it. OC files are still the same.

Glad, you have managed to fix this :)

Maybe, something went wrong, when uploaded the theme the first time. Sometimes some files do not upload correctly and reuploading is the easiest thing you could do.

I have the same problem with “SyntaxError: Unexpected token <" during checkout process…delivery method.

I have just installed Shoppica ver. 1.0.11, now the checkout process does not work with default theme either.

Any solution?

Thanks.

Problem solved. It was different module. Not related to shoppica.
