Hello,

I bought some days ago Pavilion theme + brainy filter.
I performed some tests using the default OC theme + brainy filter: working fine.
Looks like the extension is not yet compatible with Pavilion, there is no impact on list of products displayed when selecting criteria in filter, small display issues, i defined a new brainy filter instance for all categories but sometimes the filter appears for some categories and not for other categories.
I think doesn’t make sense to list all issues at this stage.
Would be helpfull if you can check the compatibility of this module for OC2.

Thank you,

Context:
Pavilion version: pavilion_v.1.2.5 (latest version as of today)
Opencart version: 2.0.1
Brainy filter version for OC2: v4.6

Hi,

Can we take a look at the live example as well?

Thanks,

Hello,

I set up the extension in a test env, you will find bellow info you need to access to this environment. Since it is only a test env, could you please let me know the changes that you will be doing so that i can replicate them in my final installation.

There are 2 instances of brainy filter that are defined:
-Vertical filter (column left) -> category “Clothing” and “Accessories”
-Horizontal filter (content top) -> category “Shoes”

I added the custom stylesheet that you shared in the following link:
http://support.themeburn.com/topic/brainy-filter-ultimate

Here are the first issues i could i notice:
1) Most important one: selection of criteria doesn’t impact list of products. something is being executed but the number of products is still the same.

2)There is only one instance of brainy filter that can be defined per position, for example column left. If i define 2 instances for same position(even if they use different categories), the first one is not considered.

3)I noticed that each time there is a change in brainy filter configuration, i need to delete the block from Pavilion page design, drag & drop again the brainy filter block to the page design.
Example:
I defined my brainy filter instance, add it to my page -> OK
Then i decide to modify settings of the filter from brainy filter settings, i go back to the store and the filter is no more there. i need to open again the page design, delete old element that was added to the page and drag and drop again the same brainy filter instance.
Is that normal?

4)How can i define the filter column a little bit wider ? some of the elements are not well displayed.price for example.

5)Is there a way to define some tabulation space for category/second level to make it a little bit easier for users?

thank you,

We have fixed your issues. We have also updated the Brainy Filter topic to include OpenCart 2.0 instructions.

Hello ThemeBurn,

Thank you very much for your support and for the fix.

Do you know if it’s possible to make the brainy filter area a little bit wider?

(no need to spend time on this question if it’s too complex)

thanks,

Hi,

You could increase the left sidebar size from Pavilion CP > Theme Settings > Style > Content Wrap > All categories.

Hi,

I have finally managed to get this to work and it looks great in the layout.

But, when I click a filter and the page/products change a new category module is loaded and all the content is moved to the right. The same thing happens when I click another filter (or reset) – another category module is loaded and this continues…

Any idea how to fix this?

@onlinephilately

Have you disabled the filter, as we cannot see it?
