Confirm Order Hangs

This topic has been marked as resolved.

I am using OpenCart 1.5.1.3 and Shoppica Theme 1.0.11. I have tried making an order two different ways. Cheque and Credit card. When I click the Confirm Order button using either payment method, the web site hangs. I literally have to restart IIS to get it to start responding again. The order does get placed in the system though… Please help!

Seems like it is working every other time or so… I place an order, it hangs so I restart IIS. Then I just go to the checkout page again and it works. Any ideas???

OK… I have upgraded to PHP 5.3.8 and MySQL 5.5.17 and the hangs are still happening…

Hi,

Could you, please, provide the site address, admin and ftp access, so we could check?

Best regards,

We checked your site. It seems the final checkout step hangs out with IE7 for unknown reasons. It worked with other browsers. I tried to debug it – as soon as you click the ‘Confirm Order’ button, a request to the server is sent, but the server never responds. I really doubt this is Shoppica issue, because the problematic request does not involve Shoppica files. Also, we have no experience with IIS and opencart, so can’t offer help there.

Hi Guys,

I have changed over to Apache. I am now able to complete orders if paying by check but paying by credit card does not work at all. It just hangs and the Please wait! and spinner just sits there. I would greatly appreciate it if you could take a look again.

Thanks!

OK… I think I got it. I had failed to enable the php_curl module and it was crashing on $curl = curl_init($url) in \catalog\controller\payment\authorizenet_aim.php .

The strange thing it was not crashing under Firefox :)

Hope everything is OK now?
