Confirmation Failure

This topic has been marked as resolved.

Hey, I just started up my new online store and I am currently using Shoppica theme. It’s a great theme, fairly easy to use, clean, and appealing. However, I am having some trouble when it comes to the 6th stage of checking out, which would be the payment/order confirmation.

After I check the Terms & Condition box I click confirm and all I see is a little image load bar, but nothing happens. I can press the button as many times as I want and it’ll show as many load bars as I click, but nothing happens.

Please, I need to get this site up and running.

Help?

We only have one method of payment which is through paypal, do I need a special setup for that also?

Hi,

We had this problem with older versions of Shoppica, but everything is fixed in the latest one, available for download from ThemeForest.

Here is how you could check the Shoppica version: http://support.themeburn.com/topic/determine-the-version-of-your-installed-shoppica-theme. If you have installed the latest version, then we will need some access to your website to have a look.

Best regards,

Who do I send the email to? I’d like the info to stay private.

Hi,

After I check the Terms & Condition box I click confirm and all I see is a little image load bar, but nothing happens. I can press the button as many times as I want and it’ll show as many load bars as I click, but nothing happens.

We tried to purchase a product and after the confirmation, we have been redirected to paypal.com to complete the payment. So we can’t confirm a bug here.

About the Bestsellers, Latest etc. – these are modules and are set up from Admin -> Extensions -> Modules. There you could adjust the image sizes as well, as it is described in the documentation.

Thanks for the forum :) we are trying our best to help everybody.

Best,
ThemeBurn

Ni, I don’t think that’s right. I tried doing the exact same thing and nothing happens. I will record my screen and I’ll show you what I do exactly step by step and you’ll see that nothing happens.

also, why does it only work for you whereas 7 other people testing this out from different areas in the world doesn’t work for them either. It’s got nothing to do with updating their browsers or anything either.

Oh, there’s a blue box outlining the Facebook option, that wasn’t there before D: Can you fix that?

Hi,

We cannot access the video – it’s private.
We now remember there is an OpenCart issue. We will try to describe it and you will say if this is your case. Here are the steps:

1) Log in as a customer.

2) Add some products to your shopping cart. At least one of them should have ‘Requires Shipping’ set to ‘Yes’.

3) Log out.

4) Browse the shop as a guest and choose a product which does not require shipping. Add it to your shopping cart.

5) Go to the checkout and choose returning customer. Login with the account you previously used.

6) Proceed to ‘Payment Method’.

7) After you click continue, the browser will show an alert: SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character

When you are logged as a customer, OpenCart keeps the products added into the cart even after you log out – it saves the shopping cart state (I’ll refer this cart as ‘old products’ below).
Then when you checkout as guest and choose ‘returning customer’, opencart loads the previously saved cart and combines the products with the new ones you added as guest. If the products you added as guest require no shipping, the delivery step is omited (opencart does not check the shipping option of the old products).
If some of the old products require shipping, then the system throws alert after you select payment and continue to the next step.

Please, check if this is not your issue and report here the results.

Hey so uh anything? =/ we are still not able to open for business because of this issue… can you please fix it.

I have contacted the opencast developers also and they say its a theme issue that needs to be checked not the actual opencast….
