Hello there,

exciting to know that final version of BE is due on Envato :-)

I want to put in a request for an update to the Pavillion patch for Custom Tabs Pro to be updated for the new BE Pavillion 2.

Many thanks!

Hi,

You won’t need custom tabs PRO. We’ve added this feature as an inner BurnEngine extension :)

Oh great I didn’t know that :-)

Is this function in the BE Beta v17 at all or a new addition? ‘cos if it is in Beta I’m not understanding how to make it function?

[I'm trying to add ingredient tabs for individual products (set different contents fields for each product).]

I just found where you added the extra custom information tab for individual products!!!

It is really fantastic – no need to separate install of Custom Tab Pro at all.

However…I think you need add this to your documentation because unless I am missing something it isn’t listed? I only discovered it by chance.

P.S Anyone else looking to add it…just turn on ‘Extra Product Fields’ in the main BE extensions panel….define the extra field you want then go to your product admin to add the info for each product (or alternatively set same default info for all products or for all products in a category).

The awesomeness of Burn Engine knows no bounds :-)

We will be grateful, if you spread the word :)

P.S. Unfortunately, you are right about the documentation. Some parts need to be upgraded (definitely need more screenshots and videos).

Hi Hotscotchbonnet,

What do you mean exactely with this?
“..then go to your product admin to add the info for each product”

Thanks!

1. Enable Extra Product Fields
2. Create Field. Write Name and Save
3. Go to Layout Composer > All products
4. On the module list go to System Module > Find Your Custom Field and drop it inside Tab/Accordion > Save
5. Go to Catalog > Product > Edit > Under description there will be a new text area for your Extra field > Save and Done

Thank you, that`s great, that is what I was hoping for.

Unfortunately the new field is not showing up on the edit product page but I guess this is easy to fix.

@ultimatia

If you experience any problems with the “Extra product fields” extension, please open a new topic. We will mark this one as “resolved”.
