Endless Loading In Pavillion CP

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesPavilion OpenCart ThemeEndless Loading In Pavillion CP

This topic has been marked as resolved.

Good day

Certain options within the pavillion cp (opencart) do not save successfully, instead we watch an endless loading box continue to display the entire time the window is left open – attempted on 3 different browsers on 3 separate devices.

this happens everytime we try save a fire slider, which is extremely frustrating given the number of variables that have to be punched in every time we would like something changed, and then it needs to be done, over and over and over again.

I see in the forum, that quite a few people have experienced this issue, and that there was supposed to be an update fixing it in version 1.1 (we are using version 1.2.5)

Can you advice me and any other users on how to fix this issue?

I think instead of simply asking for FTP details and fixing the issue (which is very graceful of you to actually offer, by the way) you should instead, post a list of instructions on how to rectify the issue, as tones of people are reading the posts you display, but most don’t have the time to sit and wait for a reply should they have to create their own posts- so it would be helpful for us to be able to have a legible fix posted publicly. This way we can have the problem solved in a matter of moments, as opposed to hours or possibly even days..

I look forward to your advice

Hi,

This problem is most often caused by improper OC configuration. The promised fix (the one from v1.1) targeted other similar issues (problems with SSL enabled).

You could take a look at this topic and see if the solution will work for you.

P.S. We will try to provide a fix so everything works even with non standard OC configuration as well.

Hi there,

thanks so much for the quick reply,

Unfortunately, I have updated the settings in the config files and no success.

Is it possible for me to give you ftp details/cpanel details perhaps? maybe you can take a quick look and let me know if you can identify the problem?

Its a wonderful theme by the way (im not sure people understand just how much more you can get out of this, as opposed to other themes) I will be sure to leave you the best rating and will also post a very positive comment in the comments section as I am am able to get my site up and running.

Kind regards

Ashton

Hello,

I have a similar problem with endless loading

To get experience with opencart and pavillon installed it under localhost (xampp)
installation = ok
working ok
install pavillon
upload pavillon according instructions + demo
works ok

When I change eg. footer color -> save footer seettings -> endless saving setting + loading
return for control panel
change color = ok

Very difficult to work with.
Am I doing something wrong ?
How can I fix this ?

I see:

Hi,

You can provide the website url, admin and ftp access, so we can check.

You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

Hi there,

Please find ftp details below:

I have done the config changes as per request with no success) it seems the issue lies predominantly with the fire slider being saved, everything else seems to work – perhaps its just those files that need to be replaced or something?

I look forward to your advice – my client is loving this theme! so many more options available :)

I look forward to seeing more of your future work too :)

Best regards

Hi there, still looking for support with regards to the above issue – fire slider will not save.. the loading just hangs. please help, I have still yet to rate you on themeforest

No support given, and this theme is useless without the slider in place – So much potential here, and yet I am stuck 95% into my development because there is no way for me to save a new addition of the slider, I am simply left with all the demo installations.

Looks like Im going to have to give a single star rating for this one, which is sad, I was hoping that this would be ‘that one theme that works for everybody’ – I’m tired of buying a new theme every-time I land a new customer, and it seemed that Pavilion would have been a good bet for multi-purpose use. I truly was excited about that.

Lately when purchasing themes on themeforest, I have been looking for the items that have been downloaded many times (with the thought process of the developers being more likely to support the product due to its success) – but it seems that if I had to compare my dealings with the developers that have only sold their themes between 10 – 100 times with a company that sold thousands, every-time I was supported better by the smaller company.

So, in a nutshell, for everyone out there battling with support, it may be more productive rather to support a smaller team or even a ‘solo-developer’ as he/she/they will support you too after you have made your purchase.

@ all theme forest users:

Wouldn’t it be nice if themeforest had a public rating system for the support given on each theme – will send them a friendly mail regarding the support structure, and how it should potentially be kept within themeforests platform, so they can monitor everything too. this may help people determine what to buy, based on their own coding skillset – if you are ‘a pro coder’, then a theme with a low support rating would be okay, but if you are like most of us out there, who need a little help with the malfunctioning pieces, then you can rather opt for a theme that has reliable support with a proven track record to make you feel more comfortable.

1 star rating on theme forest -no support given, and we cannot use this theme with the fire slider (and potentially other options) not being able to be saved.

– this would have gotten 5 stars from us if it worked. and probably multiple site licence purchases as-well, it has so much potential, and the presentation we made with the demo screenshots got allot of our clients excited, they will be disappointed now too.

Maybe one day when the support has free time, they can help, and the rating can change. but not sure if we will be willing to risk purchasing multiple times as the chances of us being supported when its crucial are not high enough to rely on.

Hi,

We are a small team and sometimes it is hard to maintain both support and item update at top level. At the moment we are finishing a major Pavilion update and that is why some trickier issues may take more time to resolve.

We see you have changed access credentials and we cannot log in to your server. If you still have this loading problem we could take a look one we got the proper authorization.

Hi

Thanks for getting back to me,

I understand that you are a small team, and that most likely you are doing the best that you can, which is probably a ton of work. I can tell by how much effort went into your themes that I have purchased. it makes sense to me that you are busy with important updates and such, and i do appreciate that work that you are doing (thank you).

My core problem, is that there is no way to guarantee a response within your support form, as it is not a ticket based system, so there is no way to let you know of a possible critical issue a user may be having.

It just makes me uneasy to think (has my last comment slipped past support – must I post another? / is the topic dead? / should I post another topic? / do I need to attempt to find a specific user on the form to contact directly for help?) – and how long will an answer take? the length of time that it will take is not important, however knowing what that length is, is important, as we can then make a decision on whether it or not it is feasible to wait for an answer.

as a developer (nowhere near as experienced and talented as your team) I can often confidently fix my own issues, but this one is truly mind bogging for me.

I have tested the above details now in filezilla and they seem to be working fine on my end, would you mind retrying and if there is an error, kindly let em know the code so I can decipher it.

Login into the cpanel with the same credentials works too.

Kind regards

Hi again,

We examined the issue thoroughly and it seems that it is connected with your server. There is an Apache web server extension, called mod_security. If we turn it off from cPanel, the sliders save without problems. It seems that it applies security policy, which prevents submitting ajax forms with POST request that exceed a predefined size. Sadly, there is no access to the raw apache error logs from cPanel and we cannot be sure what exactly causes the issue and how is the security policy formed in order to a apply a fix in our code. The only fix for now is to just turn Mod Security off from cPanel.

We are very sorry that this issue took us so long, but it is highly specific to your environment. It’s not just a bug that can be debugged, moreover, we cannot reproduce it anywhere, so we rely on getting intel from your server only.

You will need to register in order to post topics and read replies in the ThemeBurn.com support forums!

I truly appreciate what you have done for me, that was over and above what you needed to do and I feel bad about what was said.

Honestly, I must commend your skill set in actually being able to locate the problem, since it was such a unique one. I am almost certain, I would not have been able to figure that out.

I have made a point in attempting to ‘flag & retract my comment on themeforest’ which should make it right. and have moderated my rating to a well deserved 5 stars

I also appreciate you understanding my point of view – that goes a long way, and will not be forgotten any time soon. Thank you
