hi there.

i am getting the following error when trying to install BurnEngine under Extensions › Modules (fresh installation of OC 2.1.0.2 // mysql 5.6 // php 7):
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ’$this’ (T_VARIABLE), expecting ’;’ or ‘{’ in /PATH/TO/MY/SHOP/vqmod/vqcache/vq2-admin_controller_module_BurnEngine.php on line 31

any quick solution to this?

thanks, mate!

Hi,

We will need the website url, admin and ftp access, so we can check.

You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

Hi,

Your problem is resolved. BurnEngine panel now loads and works without any errors. Unfortunately the custom interface that you use for OC admin breaks everything in the theme panel and we had to disable it. As a result the sidebar menu is not working when editing theme settings.

We have fixed it, but we had to modify the vqmod/xml/b5b_qore_engine.xml file, which is part of the admin theme you are currently using. This admin theme makes opencart modifications in a largely incompatible way, which will most likely cause further issues not only with our theme but with other extensions as well. If it brings nothing more than visual benefits, you better restrain from using it.
