First Byte Load Time Very Very Slow

I am using the most up to date Shoppica 2 theme and most updated OpenCart 1.5.6 I am having horrible first byte load times for my site (around 12 seconds). When i enable the default theme it loads in about 5 seconds so this has to be a Shoppica issue. Here is the site to see. Hi, the slowness of your site is due to the large amount of categories you have. We have sent you our experimental cache extension in order to speed up your site.
