We have deployed the updated 2.0 on our site, and before doing so, tried to backup the previous settings, but could not; the theme had pretty much collapsed. At this point, going through the documentation on 2.0. , it seems much of our missing elements are associated with the new Grid Elements and Theme Footers that you’ve built in this version; where’s the documentation for this? The provided documentation doesn’t have any instructions on using these elements, or how they would play in with the new theme updates. Thanks.

Hello,
We are updating documentation at the moment. Grid Elements is Visual Composer feature and you can check here for more information: http://vc.wpbakery.com/features/grid-builder/
Theme Footers also uses Visual Composer and you can design your footer section just like any page with VC.
If you have more question, dont hesitate to ask.
Best,

Thanks for the details on this; it seems with such a HUGE change and bundling VC into this new build, documentation would have been part of the rollout. There’s so much messed up/missing (widgets, etc.) and the old theme version was failing so badly, we couldn’t even backup settings for it! Any way, hope this stabilizes quickly.
