Hello,

I’ve been trying to install the following extension module to my open cart 2.0.1.1 site: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=extension/extension/info&extension_id=22276
I need to allow customers to place pre-orders for items with the out-of-stock status “Pre-Order”. See the demo for the extension – it changes the button to “Pre-Order” and sends some additional notifications to the customer regarding delivery times.

However, the module appears to be conflicting with my Pavilion 1.2.5 theme. The iSense Lab support has been working on this for a week and finally has said:

“After investigation it seems that your theme doesn’t allow to add modules to it and doesn’t add column right, left, content top or bottom in the product page, which means that you cannot assign even the default OpenCart modules to layouts in the product page. The preorder module needs to be assigned to a layout and loaded in a page in order to work, otherwise it won’t show. Can you please talk to your theme developers to add the preorder module to your product page and get back to us?”

The Module is called PreOrder 2.3 in my system. I see they tried to add it to the Layout of the Product Page using the regular OpenCart system, but it doesn’t seem to have worked. I guess you need to add this using your the “Theme Options”, but the PreOrder 2.3 module doesn’t show up as a module block for the Product Layout Page.

I also see that you have a custom button “Pre-Order” option – this has never worked for me (the button has never changed to “Pre-Order”). But I’d like to use the extension instead because it gives additional notifications.

Please help?? I need this set up asap as we have press coming online soon that may cause us to run out of stock and we need the ability to take pre-orders.

OK, I answered part of my question myself, but I still need help:

I realized I needed to follow the TB Widgets method of exporting the module. So now I have it on the page and it appears to be working, but with a few issues still:

It still is giving a big red OpenCart system alert at the top of the shopping cart page that the items are out of stock, which may scare away customers from following through with checkout. How do I remove this? (Use this item to test:

I also have some items that will NOT be available for pre-order once they are out of stock, but the “Add to Cart” button remains on that page. See for example this item:

How do I fix this?

Many thanks!!!

Hi Megan,

1) There is an option to disable the “out of stock” warning on the cart page. You can find it in Admin > System > Settings > Option > Stock.

2) To hide the cart button for all products with “Out of stock” status, you could use our “Disable checkout status” option.

hi..
I have a similar problem
I have installed the module pre-order in opencart 2.1.0.1 theme technopolis

once a product has been grown, the pre-order is displayed for a while, and then you get your cart again.
What should I do

Hi,

We’ve checked the source of the page you have provided and it seems that the “Καλάθι” text is added by the Pre-order module you have installed. Theme does not have a functionality that changes the label of the button.
