Hi,

How do you hide categories if there are no products for that particular category?

Thanks

@BWebDesign2015

The modification from our previous post is not related with the main menu. It is for the subcategories list in the category page (the list above products).

For the moment there is no way to have this feature for the main navigation. You will have to manually enable/disable empty categories.

I have managed to fix it by doing some hard code modifications:

But it now uses Product Count, which is the down side because make site load slow.

Nice i really hope so, as this would be a good feature :)

Also is there a n update soon or wont this feature be added for a while?

Also what also would be nice in the mega menu is to be able to add: in the sub menus etc if that category has out of stock etc. I tried to add it my self but i couldnt work out how.

Thanks
Aaron

We don’t have any date for the update yet. We are working hard to make it happen ASAP.

I have a fix that works, without doing product count, can i post on here if i put it inside the Opencart Store and sell it?

And if you want in a PM i can send you the code i used so then you can see how we did it and tell me if that way is good or not :) and we have done it so if no products it changes the category sort order to -1 the only downside is that we have to turn your cache off inside the “PAVILION” theme for it to work, otherwise it wont work.

Thanks
Aaron

Hi Aaron,

We will be grateful, if you share your modification here in the forums :)

P.S. Just wanted to ask to wrap your code in <code> tags to keep proper formatting.

Thanks!
