I would like to add arrows on the product page when the additional images exceeds 5 images to show that there are more photos than the 5.
How can I do this?

Hi,
The gallery plugin we use does not support such a feature. We are considering to change it in future versions, but for the moment you cannot have thumbnail navigation.

Is there a way to remove the gallery plugin for the thumbnails so it does not scroll but list them in a grid instead – as I need my customers to know there are other patterns rather than just the ones they can see.

Unfortunately, there is no such option for the moment. Won’t be an easy job to modify the current functionality. We will try to add more options in future versions.
