We really need to reproduce your issue somehow in order to fix it. If you can’t supply FTP login, then you must tell us more details about your local environment – OS, server package (wamp, xamp etc.), local url and port, pavilion version.

I wanted to write the site entirely locally before uploading it to a webserver. I see that while that is a good approach security wise, it is hampering progress.
This is pavillion version 1.0.1 installed on xamp. The os is win8 with 2G of memory

Which is your local url to access the server and does it use the deafult port ? For example http://localhost:8080 ?

I had to perform a new install to fix this issue. At this point I am not importing data file samples and it seems to be saving correctly now.

I thought I fixed this issue by re-installing but the problem keep happening as I proceed with developing the page. I get a “saving setting” and a motioned circle that goes on indefinitely indicate failure in the “refresh” signal.
