Intro Slideshow delay?

Hi there,

I’ve noticed that the intro slideshow on the homepage has some delay before the first image appears. It takes like 2 seconds befor anything shows up.

Any idea why?

It’s really anoying to have this lag whenever a customer gets to the homepage, even if it’s not long, its enough for people just scroll down or whatever and miss the images in the slideshow…

I will have to do it tomorrow. As today is black friday, i removed all the images and put just one, and the problem is gone. It loads instantly.

So perhaps it’s related to having many images.

Hi again,

Just tested many images with preload false and apparently its solving my problem.

What’s preload doing? preloading all existing images before it starts the slideshow?

Hi,

Yes, the options loads all images before the slideshow starts and since you have more than a couple of banners, this causes a small delay.
