Shoppica as it is at the moment cannot be upgraded to OpenCart2. At least this will cost a lot of efforts that we cannot spare at the time being.

What we plan however, is to migrate the theme to our new platform – BurnEngine. This update will add tons of new features and will put the future development of Shoppica under the same hood with all other themes (the idea is all themes to use the same platform – BurnEngine). If everything goes well, it should be ready in a week.

Last, but not least. The new release will be totally different with no resemblance to older versions of Shoppica. You will have to setup your theme from the beginning and some compatible extensions may need to be adjusted again. The good news are that BurnEngine is made with idea to be as close to the default theme as possible and to keep maximum compatibility. Major extensions like Ajax Quick Checkout and Mega Filter Pro work fine.

Uploading Shoppica theme from scratch will not be an issue hopefully.

BurnEngine installation is as easy as the original Shoppica installation.
