I’ve purchased the LayerSlider plugin – can I update this in the theme?

Hello,

Unfortunately, you cannot update LayerSlider plugin which is integrated in theme. We have made a lot of changes on it.

There is another way, to disable integrated layerslider and install the separated one as plugin.
