ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesKiddos OpenCart ThemeMegamenu fix display need

This topic has been marked as resolved.

I’m experiencing a display issue: when mouse is over catalogue’s main categories (as showed on 1st printscreen), megamenu content is vertically displayed. When mouse moves on megamenu content (2nd printscreen), then it finally displays as it should be. Please help me. Thanks.

Hi,

We were not able to replicate your problem locally and will need ftp access to fix it directly on your server.

Here you’ll find an FTP user. You’re not allowed to clone website or download any of the installed extensions, all under regular license.

I have a second bug that needs your help. I have installed Live Search extension but it does not work at all. Please check it as well until you have access to FTP.

And please notify me every single file you modified.

Thanks.

Bye

Hi Stefano,

Your problem is now fixed. The only file that is modified is catalog/view/theme/BurnEngine/javascript/common.js

The fix will also be packed in the next update.

Thanks for finding out and reporting this problem!

I asked support for 2 issues:

1) megamenu;
2) search engine.

Did you read my help request about search engine? I wrote it twice.

Hi,

The menu is fixed, but the live search seems to still give some PHP errors.

We see now that your Kiddos theme is a bit outdated. There is a more recent version that fixes a lot of problems (live search related as well). Can you please update?

Generally, you should only upload newer theme files and run the updater (it will show, when you try to access theme control panel).

P.S. Although theme update does not alter any theme (and store) data, it is recommended to always keep a up-to-date store backup (database and files).

Current Kiddos installation is not so outdated as you wrote. We have installaed versione 1.0.4, while the newest is 1.0.5.
This is not an excuse for not solving the problem.

So fix it without asking any more update.

Okay, we are beginning to think about a way for changing the code without updating it. We hope you don’t have anything against using spiritual powers in order to adjust the reality matrix so that it renders your site properly. This would allow us to ‘fix it without asking for update’.

Ok, if you think this a serious way to give support to customers…
Maybe I didn’t use the right words, I just mean “without updating all website from version 1.0.4 to 1.0.5″.

BurnEngine is a complex software with thousands of options, combined with different OpenCart versions on different server configurations and there are always the possibility for bugs to pop out. That is why it is recommended to keep your theme up to date.

As we’ve said in our previous post, this may be a minor update (by version number), but there are a lot of fixes under the hood. The Live Search extension has been updated as well. If you haven’t touched any theme files, the update should take only a couple of minutes (depending mostly on our internet upload speed). If you have, please provide more information so we can advise.

About whether our previous reply was serious or not – I don’t think yours was serious either. Not mentioning the attitude. Our team has always tried to keep the good tone and we expect from our customers the same.

Svetoslav
