Modules Position

This topic has been marked as resolved.

Hi,

I just bought the theme and everything seems to be working fine except for the modules position. My website is opncart.pinkybears.com . As you can see on the website, I’m encountering missing/position issues.

1) Missing Search box on the top right
2) Missing write up (Welcome To Shoppica store)
3) Latest products is going downwards instead of to the right
4) The boxes are not enabled
5) Missing Bestsellers

Can you kindly help or point me to any resources you may have? It seems that there isn’t an accompanying documentation on how to configure these features.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I managed to fix the rest except for the Featured and Latest products alignment on the first page. Can anyone help?

Hi,

You can control all the modules from the Extensions -> Modules. You need to assign a module for every page (layout). If you want to use a module for the side column (left or right), you always have to use Column Right. The actual position of the column is controlled from Shoppica Theme CP.

Bestsellers are shown, when you have already completed orders.

Best regards,

Hi, Thanks for the reply.
I don’t actually need the pictures to show on each and every pages. I want to have the Latest products to be featured on the main page like what you have in your demo.

As you can see from my website (opncart.pinkybears.com), the Latest products are going downwards rather than horizontally.

In the modules > Latest I have set to the following configurations but still the problem persists.

Limit : 6
Image : 100×100
Layout : Home
Position : Content Top
Status : Enabled
Sort Order : 2

Would be great if you could help.

Thanks.

Hi,

Have you modified the Shoppica files? Or used any third party plugins?

We will need to have a look at the administration and on the server.

Best,

Sure, here are the details.
As for plugins, I installed Shoppica on a fresh new installation of OC. It didn’t work out of the box so I went ahead and installed vqmods and a couple of other plugins.

Are you sure you have overwritten the opencart controller file with the one provided with the Shoppica package ?

Please, open system/engine/controller.php and see if it contains the followint piece of code:

Ah … that fixes it. Yes you were right, the files were not uploaded.

Thank you very much for your input. Oh by the way, just to be on the safer side can I reupload all my files to the server again? Just in case, I missed any …

If you haven’t touched anything from the Shoppica files, won’t be a problem to reupload all the files.
