This topic has been marked as not a support question.

have asked on opencart forum and no response so maybee here will get a solution

how can we stop adding 2+ products in cart even if in stock we have 1? as it is you can add 9999, navigate fine and when you try to checkout you recive a notice that the product is not in the quantity requested. any ideea? clients should recive the message and no products should be added if the quantity requested is not in stock the moment they try to add it to cart. thanks

Hi,

You could check out this topic:

http://support.themeburn.com/topic/how-do-i-remove-the-add-to-cart

You can use the quantity value and create a js function that prevents the user from adding more items than the current stock.

Best,

ok. thanks for the hint but it way over my posibilities. as you have sean i have managed quite many modifications to your theme but this is a point where i can’t proceed. i consider this a opencart bug wich remains to be solved in the future with some luck.
