No Tax with PayPal Express Checkout

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesBurnEngineNo Tax with PayPal Express Checkout

Hi,

I have setup PayPal Express Checkout and when a customer clicks on the Checkout with PayPal button on the cart page and utilizes PayPal to pay for their purchase, tax is not calculated when they return from PayPal to my OpenCart site. For instance, I have sales tax setup for Ohio, and if the customer address is in Ohio, after signing into PayPal, tax is not being calculated.

Is there a way I can add tax calculations when using PayPal Express Checkout?

Thanks,
Shawn

Is this something that is specific to our theme or it is the same with the default theme too ?

Hi,

I believe it is theme-related. I even replaced all the OpenCart files for PayPal Express Checkout and the problem persists.

Thanks,
Shawn

I am also getting a few errors

PHP Notice: Undefined variable: products in /…/catalog/view/theme/BurnEngine/template/extension/payment/pp_express_confirm.tpl on line 91

PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /…/catalog/view/theme/BurnEngine/template/extension/payment/pp_express_confirm.tpl on line 91

PS that old error came back again

PHP Warning: file_put_contents(/…/image/cache/tb/header__default.intro__default.content__default.footer__default.ar_header_global.ar_intro_global.ar_content_system_product_manufacturer_info__default.ar_column_left_system_product_manufacturer_info.ar_column_right_global.ar_footer_global.en-gb.ssl.f0b2d.24767.meta.cache): failed to open stream: File name too long in /…/system/vendor/BurnEngine/library/OutputHandler.php on line 876

There are some other errors too, but not sure what they refer to…..

We made some tests and the PayPal Express Checkout happens even when the default theme is activated. Can you please confirm- activate the default theme and check if the tax is calculated when the uesers return from PayPal.

About the second ‘PHP Warning: file_put_content’ error- we no longer have access to your FTP, so we can’t modify any files. The server just refuses to connect. Does our IP have to be whitelisted ?
