This topic has been marked as not resolved.
I have tested the pagespeed of my site ( http://www.now-vaping.co.uk ) using https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/ The results as follows: Mobile – 49/100 – Desktop 60/100 – These are extremely poor, in fact, some of the worst results I have ever seen – they will seriously affect site use and searchability to a point that it is not even worth having a site!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHOULD FIX: (These are major problems) Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold contentEnable compression - Compressing resources with gzip or deflate can reduce the number of bytes sent over the network.Leverage browser caching - Setting an expiry date or a maximum age in the HTTP headers for static resources instructs the browser to load previously downloaded resources from local disk rather than over the network.I have your General Cache and Content Cache turned on and have set the “Output Compression Level GZIP” (under system>settings>server) set at 5 (which seems to be the best setting to use and as tested on other Opencart installations I have) Your sales literature (as advertised on Themeforest) states that the Pavilion theme is “PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZED” – Clearly it is not. I have also Pagespeed tested some other sites that use your Pavilion theme with similar results! Please advise urgently, thank you

Hi, not everything depends on the theme. You should do some things manually in order to improve page speed results. One of these things is image optimizations (the page speed advices should contain links to the poorly optimized images). You should also enable some web server directives. Check out the documentation about them. BR, |
