I have a few Opencart installations, and only on one of them I’m having trouble (the obove and other issues). How come there is a need to change Utils.php on that odd website of mine comparing to the others?

After editing Utils.php the Shoppica 2 CP runs without problems, but the main page won’t load (blank page). I’m running Opencart 1.5.6.4. I’ve tried many things and what succeeded was replacing index.php with the index.php from shoppica_v.2.2.4\Additional\OpenCart_v.1.5.5.1.

This is not making any sense but that’s the way it is. To add to the matter, I’m running a fresh new installation of Opencart 1.5.6.4.

@sfw02 – didn’t really understand the final result – did you managed to fix your issue and just wondering what’s going on or do you still have a problem ?

Yeah TB, it is working but I don’t understand why it is working and why the problem appeared in the first place.

My solution doesn’t feel right even if it’s working.

- Why was I forced to edit Utils.php on a fresh installation of Opencart 1.5.6.4?

- After editing the site went blank, to fix that I had to replace index.php with Shoppica 2′s OpenCart_v.1.5.5.1′s index.php (NOTE: not the right version, the right version should have been 1.5.6).

Could you explain please. It’s very important to me that the site is running a stable theme with the right versions of files.

Best regards,
Sam

hi Could you add the fix to the existing code on themeforest or a second folder for php 5.5

I’m giving up on Shoppica. Unfortunatly.

After doing my little fix described up here, my plugins won’t work. Specificly Opencart SEO Pack PRO, which is a must have in my world. The regular theme is working, other themes are working when activated but not Shoppica, the site is blank when Sheoppica is acivated.

I’ve been trying evenything I can come up with, but now I’m done!

Tried the following, on a fresh installation (not even VQmod installed):

- Replacing my index.php with the enclosed version = site went blank.
- Editing my original index.php according to the instructions = site went blank.
- Replacing my index.php with the WRONG enclosed version = site worked with the “208Unknown” error.
- Edited Utils.php = site worked without errors.

- Installed VQmod = site working.
- Installed Opencart SEO Pack PRO = site blank.
- Changed theme to the regular and another custom theme = site working.

NOTE! Opencart SEO Pack PRO is working with another Shoppica installation that I have.

- TB, are you sure that Shoppica 2 is compatible with Opencart 1.5.6.4 ?
- Do you have the ability to solve my problem?

i’m also giving up on Shoppica, it seems to me that the theme isn’t compatible with php 5.5 when i change to default there isn’t no problem, so i consider buying a another theme anuone suggestions?

@sfw02,

we installed the shoppica with php 5.5 and the latest version of Opencart SEO Pack PRO and we aren’t able to spot any issues so far. You can find attached Utils.php with the latest compatibility modifications. Replace your current tb_themes\shoppica2\library\Utils.php with it and see if this makes any difference.

@endless123,

the theme is tested with php 5.5. There is a deprecation warning which is fixed by replacing some lines in Utils.php as stated above. You can directly replace your tb_themes\shoppica2\library\Utils.php with the attached one.

We have submitted Shoppica update for approval which includes the attached Utils.php. Not sure when it will be approved.

Hi, your index file for shoppica 2.x opencart 1.5.6 is not working, instead after changing it to version 1.5.5.x it works, so my results is same with sfw0,

@shaifful – just use the original index.php file for OpenCart 1.5.6.x and replace the Shoppica lines manually
