Please Help With Pavilion Install

Hello, I am trying to install the Pavilion Theme per the instructions on your website. It says to “Unzip the “pavilion-premium-responsive-open-cart-theme.zip” archive you have downloaded from ThemeForest.net. Enter the OpenCart_v.2.0.x folder. Upload all the files to the directory you have installed OpenCart in:”. Does this mean its supposed to replace some of the existing opencart folders in my root directory such as “admin” “catalog” system”? Not sure what I am supposed to do. Please help! Thanks! Chris

Hi Chris,

Yes it will over-write some of your files – but if it is a new store then it won’t matter.
Always back up first.

Be sure that you do the upload CAREFULLY so as to not put files / folders in the wrong place.

Ensure that the FTP program you use is set to ‘Merge’ the new folders with the old ones and ‘Replace’ old files with new ones.

If you do it a folder at a time, make sure you put the folders in the correct place – but I would recommend to just upload the 4 folders at once to your open cart installation folder.

As ploth has stated, some folders need to be merged. Pavilion for OC 2.0.x however do not overwrite any core files.
