I sell digital downloads through my website, mostly in .zip format.
A few customers have experienced problems downloading these files, and they all use Firefox 6.0. The file downloads ok, but has no extension and can’t be opened. I’ve tested it myself and couldn’t get the file to open, even after adding an extension.
I’ve been asking people to get around the problem by downloading the files using another browser, which has fixed the problem, but is a bit of a pain!
I also sell a few PDFs on there, which download just fine with Firefox.
Any thoughts?

Hi,
Check the mime types on your hosting account. If you don’t know where these are, then contact your hosting provider. In cpanel or other control panels, it’s usually a page where you can specify which filetypes match different file extensions.
As this is not Shoppica related, we could not be of much help here.
Best regards,
