Problem with Mega Filter PRO integration with Pavilion theme

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesPavilion OpenCart ThemeProblem with Mega Filter PRO integration with Pavilion theme

This topic has been marked as not resolved.

When Mega Filter Pro is installed into the Pavilion theme using the integration instructions provided by Themeburn (http://support.themeburn.com/topic/mega-filter-pro-by-attribs-options-brands-price-filters) the following occurs:

  • Set up / How to reproduce: A Mega Filter PRO filter choices are set up on multiple “Filters” criteria (ie. based on the standard Opencart filter criteria) e.g. size, colour, theme. These are assigned to products so there are possible results to be found.
  • The filter works perfectly for results where there is a result found for the combination of filters being searched (e.g. a size and theme with products that meet the criteria).
  • If a combination of filter choices where there are no combination results found e.g. a size and theme where there are no results, the result nothing found is not shown. Instead, the entire centre panel results are nested inside themselves e.g. Grid / List – Show per page – Sort by. with this repeated inside and then all products.
  • The only exception to this is where a category result is not found where a correct “No products found” message is shown. It only appears to break the theme where a combination of filter criteria (e.g. size, theme, colour) returns no product results.
There therefore appears to be an integration problem between Pavilion theme and Mega Filter PRO (possibly to do with the custom css or css selectors?) for the situation where a combination of multiple Filters criteria returns no results because the centre panel is shown again inside itself rather than a not found or error message. If this is a module problem we’d be happy to take this up with the developer of Mega Filter PRO but as it works except for one scenario and appears to break the theme, we thought it might be a theme integration issue.

Some extra information:
- it only seems to break if there are three criteria that fail. If you just select two with no results it shows a no results message, but on the third criteria selected if there are no products the whole left column and sort by bar is shown again inside the panel – making a nested column of columns.
- the extra files provided on the support page(http://support.themeburn.com/topic/mega-filter-pro-by-attribs-options-brands-price-filters) are installed and our version of opencart is 1.5.6.4
- if you select three criteria that DO have results then it works perfectly and the products are shown.

Has Themeburn support been able to reproduce this? Is there a solution/suggestion to help us resolve the theme integration? The filter module, which we installed as it was recommended on this forum, otherwise works okay but throwing the template out when a combination of three or more criteria fail will confuse site visitors and we need to get it fixed.

Any help and suggestions would be sincerely appreciated.

@phoenix04

We’ve changed the content selector value. You can check the tutorial again (step 3 only).

@ingecm

Can you please, be a bit more specific about what exactly do not work in mobile view?

That’s awesome, that content selector fixed the problem nicely!

@ingecm

Please check back the our topic again. We’ve added some additional CSS for better compatibility of MFP horizontal mode for small screens.
