Hello all.
I have an issue where product options “available options” disappear from items added to the cart. I am using Technopolis theme.
The last item to be added always works fine — all options and their input values display correctly. When a new item is added however, the existing cart item loses the customer’s value input (e.g. “Product A” may have been added with option “Color: Blue” but “Product A” will now show “Color: ” with no input value after the new item is added to the cart). This even occurs though the option values are *required*.
Additionally, this appears to be more than a display issue. The option input values do not show up in the resulting order or invoice. It would seem the actual data isn’t being collected from the fields somehow.
Product options work correctly when using OpenCart’s default theme, so it *seems* this is an issue specific to Technopolis or ThemeBurn.
I’ve tried using a different Technolopolis sub theme, reinstalling ThemeBurn and Technolopolis, using default settings, clearing cache and disabling/uninstalling most third party extensions.

Hi,
Can you provide the store’s address?
Thanks,

Whoops, yes. Here you go:

Some new information.
When a product is added to the cart, values added for any of the product options also appear in the store database. I confirmed this by running a query with phpMyAdmin.
When a second product is added to the cart, the first product’s option values disappear. Similarly, I can confirm the values are actually removed from the database itself. So they are written properly, but then removed after adding the second item to the cart.
Hope that helps.

Hi,
sorry for the late answer. We tried really hard to reproduce this issue in our demo Technopolis installations, but we really couldn’t invoke this bug. We must look at your server directly as it seems the bug is specific to your environment.
Can you please provide us with FTP access ? Also, is your store live, i.e. can we safely change themes ?

I am wondering if there was a fix for this problem. I am experiencing the same issue on my site.

Hello, to access my site you need….
Thanks for the help!

@idthreadz,
the ftp you provided lead us to idthreadz.com, which uses Pavilion 1.2. The above issue was described for Technopolis and they are quite different themes.
We also can’t reproduce this issue on your site. Can you please tell us which actions should we take in order to see the options disappear ?

ThemeBurn team

My web host was able to locate the problem in the code and fix it. It is working correctly now.

@idthreadz
Thanks for the update. We will grateful, if you share the fix so others can benefit too, or to add it in the theme core.
