Sale Tag On Picture

Hi,

Is there a way to overlay a sale tag on the top left corner of an image so customers can easily distinguish what items are on sale.

It doesn’t have to be an image, it can be something like the round price tag.

i think that i saw a extension for this on open cart. the other option would be to use a free program like fotoflexer and edit the image with the sale sign. hth

Thanks emichele20 for your suggestion. I have tried manually editing the images with the sale sign but I find it rather troublesome as I have close to 1k items :(

I’m really hoping for a way to have this automated. It doesn’t really have to be on the image itself, beneath the image but above the add to cart button would would work for me too.

Thanks for your input. I tried the codes but it didn’t seem to work. Can I confirm if this should be placed in catalog/view/theme/shoppica/template/product/category.tpl ?
