Is it possible to have the SEO generator use the subcategory when generating the page title or seo url instead of the main category? I know it has to do with what category an item is in but is there any way to have it do like so: Lets say we have a iPhone x, it’s in both Cell Phones and Smartphones… Cell Phones> Smartphones > iPhone x The generator when using category, pulls Cell Phones but I want it to pull Smartphones. I know I could just move the iPhone into Smartphones only but then I loose the ability to show the iPhone x when someone only views Cell Phones and hasn’t navigated to Smartphones. Since I’m using Mega Filter, it’s important that it shows on the main category as well as the sub category. I’ve tried sort order but that doesn’t seem to work. Let me know if this is possible. P.S. Your section in your guide on SEO is blank so I couldn’t find any resources on what it does, how to use it or anything. I’ve figured it out through trial (it’s easy to understand) but it would be nice to know what functions it provides. Thanks, Chris |

Hi Chris, Unfortunately, you cannot have a link with this structure using our SEO extension only:
By default product url depends where you have accessed the product from. If you have clicked on a product from the home page, you will have the following url:
If you have accessed the product from a first level category then you will have:
Even if you insert the category name in product url (using our SEO tool), then you will have:
Until we add such a feature, you will have to use some third party extension like this one: https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=marketplace/extension/info&extension_id=4085 BR, |
