This topic has been marked as not a support question.

When you ad a product and hover over the cart it shows the product name with the seo url.
http://www.website.nl/product

But if you then go to another page and hover over the cart it shows the productname without the seo url
http://www.website.nl/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=50

How can this be fixed?

Thanks.

Also when using the optional (* 4.) of the “UKSB Automatic Friendly SEO URLs” extention http://goo.gl/8hZ4n

* 4. (optional) Makes all other default OC links displayed on the front-end in to Friendly SEO URLs.

For the cart buttons in the top menu I have made urls from:
http://www.webshop.nl/index.php?route=checkout/checkout
to
http://www.webshop.nl/afrekenen
and
http://www.webshop.nl/index.php?route=checkout/cart
to
http://www.webshop.nl/winkelwagen

but when you switch to another page they are replaced by the default urls
http://www.webshop.nl/index.php?route=checkout/checkout

I have tested it on the default template of OpenCart and there they are working just fine!

I took a look to the optional part. This plugin imposes unhelaty amount of custom changes and core modifications which we simply cannot support. In catalog/controller/module/shoppica.php there is function named private function doRouting(). You could try to do the same replacement there, but I cannot guarantee it will work. This optional modificaton is too specific and edge case.

Ok no problem!

Did you maybe already found a possible fix for the original problem “SEO url replaced by none seo url after page switch”?

Thanks.

Hi there!

“SEO url replaced by none seo” is on our bug list. When we will fix it, we’ll release Shoppica 1.10. If we manage to fix it before the 1.10 release, we’ll post the fix here. It is a low priority bug (actually it is more an incomplete feature than a bug, because it doesn’t prevent any site operation), so we don’t hurry to make a new release because of it only.

Any idea when 1.10 will be released?

Thanks

Hi,

We plan to release it in the next month, but can’t tell for sure.

If you are worried about the links from the shopping cart, know that they could not affect your SEO in any way.

This is because your shopping cart is not a normal indexed page. These links are visible only after someone has placed a product in the shopping cart. So for google the shopping cart will be always empty.

It can effect the SEO!

If you click on the none SEO url in the shoppingcart, you then can bookmark the none SEO url and place it on the internet.
This way you get 2 versions of the url, the SEO url and the none SEO url.

Hope there will be an fix asasp :)

I have the same issue. I have edited the seo_url.php to use seo url for all links (including cart, checkout, account, etc) and the information pages in the menu and inside the mini cart display view cart/checkout are still using the ?route links.

Also noticed, when you remove the item in the cart, the product link in the popup is wrong and always shows index.php?route=product/product&product_id=0
You can see the issue on shoppica.net

Hi TB,

Is there any news if the fix will be included in the 1.10 update, and when will it be released?

Thanks!
