Hello.
The problem is that the products from the “Popular Products” have a short link:
Site/product
And when you go to it, there is a redirect to
Site/category/product
Can you help with this problem?

We found that links to the entire site are generated using seo_pro.php
And on popular products seo_url.php

Thank you.

Hi,

Do you use some third party extension to rewrite product urls? Generally we do not add a category in the product url explicitly.

The third-party module is not worth it.

From the homepage link is SITE/PRODUCT:

From category view link is SITE/CATEGORY1/CATEGORY2/PRODUCT:

Our SEO specialist wants everything to be everywhere, as in the catalog.
Which way to watch about?
Thank you.

Hi,

Everything is now clear. However the problem you describe is the default OpenCart behavior and is not theme related. Even if you switch to the default theme the same url rewrite will be presented.

A solution would be to use some third party extension, e.g. this one (or similar):

https://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=marketplace/extension/info&extension_id=5023

Sorry.
In the standard version, there is a checkmark in the settings that allows you to include categories. At us it costs, but here it is exactly the problem of incorrect work that is the checkmark.
As if for some modules it is taken into account (directory) and for some there is not.
We can not find any information about this in internet.
Thank you.

Hi,

We are sorry, but we really cannot help you more here, since these are default limitations.

The last question in the current discussion.
If we make changes to the files along the way: /system/storage/modification, then they will fly off the next update, right?
And how can we intervene in logic, so that these changes will not be lost after updating the topic? Thank you.

Hi,

Changed modified files will be restored every time you install a new modification and click on the refresh button.

The best way is to create a new modification and apply it the standard way.
