my shoppica theme banner set has a default target set to “_blank”

why would i want the users to leave the site? is this set up in configuration or somewhere else?

~/theme/shoppica/template/module/shoppica_banner_images_home.tpl

on line #7 i removed the target attribute:

This have been added as option for the next release – Shoppica 1.10. Some people place banners to external sites and want them opened in new window.
