WooCommerce is growing rapidly and provides lots of great features. It would be nice to be able to create a Shoppica Store on WordPress + WooCommerce.

Here’s why…

Core & Updates:

- Users with current WordPress sites can take advantage of Shoppica
- OpenCart development is slower than WordPress, and WordPress is a more mature project. We appreciate that OpenCart is free, but even major updates don’t bring too many features.
- VQMod is cool, but you should not have to “hack” the core to add basic functionality.
- OpenCart lacks automatic updates, and updates tend to break the site or customizations
- WordPress has a great implementation of Blog Posts/Pages/Custom Types.
- Documentation

Plugins:

- WordPress & WooCommerce already have many great plugins. (Caching, SEO, Galleries, Forms, Forums…)
- OpenCart Plugins are usually more expensive and lack good support/life cycle.

So, I think your master-piece should be available on WordPress. It might outsell Shoppica on OpenCart Sales… who knows?
