Hi everybody!
We want to present the new responsive Shoppica layout. It will be part of Shoppica 2 version, so only the front end is available for now.
We will grateful for every positive or negative feedback, as well as for every bug, you can find. You can test it with your smartphone (android, iphone, windows mobile) or tablet.
When reporting issues, if it is possible, please, provide the testing device model, browser type and screen resolution.
Be prepared for the Shoppica 2 beta!
Greetings!

Nice move guys!
It would be really nice, I think, if shop-owners could also easily exclude certain modules or parts of the theme in order to improve page loading speed!
Really nice work again, thumbs up!

Looks fab! Well done guys, it looks wonderful on my iPhone, on my iPad it looks good too.
The only one thing I have noticed when using the iPad is that the menu bar drops to two lines of links as does the top menu with account, wishlist etc..
I cannot get a screenprint right now but I will try later.

Nice work, really looking forward to start using this on my site!
Noticed a possible bug:
From the product page, after hitting “Add to Cart”:
* The notification is too big and take a lot of screen space
* After you cancel the notification, the screen becomes unresponsive, and none of the links work. Tested this on Android Chrome Beta, but this also happens on Chrome desktop version (with the screen resized). Once you maximize the desktop browser, the links start responding to mouse over events again.

Great work!
1. Unresponsiveness after hitting “add to cart”. I must reload the page.
2. Icons (search, cart, icons in contacts) must be bigger for retina displays (iPhone 4 & 4S. Expect iPad 3 soon!).
3. In product page, “Description” & “Reviews” fields are not expanding.
4. Tried to add a product in “wish list” and after the message appeared (as in “add to cart” message) the whole theme became unresponsive.
All the above both in portrait & landscape mode.
Keep up the good work!

@iSamCode
Could you anyhow make a screenshot (or a photo) from your iPhone 4. We’ve tested only on 3GS and are very curious to see Shoppica on retina display.
About the other bugs, we are working on removing them.
Thanks you everybody for your feedback!

Anything else I will be happy to help.
Forgot to say how you can take screenshots on an iOS Device (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch):
Press home & power buttons and what you see will be in your camera roll (Photos.app).

would the new shoppica have a daily deal function, i think alot of people would be interested in this function?
|
|
Would it be best not to have all of the info down the bottom after all of the products, but in a separate drop down menu? Same with at the start of the page with the categories?
It seems like the customer needs to scroll a lot on the screen (I’m using an iPhone 3GS) to get where they need to be, especially when they first get to the main screen of the site.
Just a thought..

I think it’s great Shoppica goes mobile.
I’m almost ready with a webshop (www.poefenzitzak.nl) and would like it to be mobile ready!
Is there a way i can test it on my shop?

First, wow! You must have read users minds in wanting mobile version. Very impressive.
Some things we saw
Took a quick look using Samsung Galaxy S II (Android 2.3.3)
1. Primary menu: cannot see the sub categories until click the actual link
2. Price bubbles: Prices are not scaling properly, fall off the blue circle, blue circle itself on the product page looks a bit funky (flat top)
3. Product page: multiple images, when you select to view another image, price icon/bubble gets push to behind the image (seems to be layered under the image).
4. One cannot go back to the first image (this was when we looked using HTC product page)
5. Add to cart: The pop screen appears at the top of the page, so if a user is not aware, might not realize they added the item to the cart. Have to scroll to the top of the page.
6. When you add the item to the cart, menus do not work, need to refresh the page
Good luck and thanks for developing this!

@dallasmc16
We get the idea to scroll the website automatically for all inner pages, so you won’t need to go all the way down to the real content.
@helixconcepts
1) We’ve decided (or maybe are still wondering) to show only the top level categories here. The idea was to minimize the height of the header and access the subcategories, only when you open a category.
2) Will be really grateful, if you send some screens here
3 & 4) Will fix this for sure
5 & 6) We have reworked the notification message.
Thank you very much for your time taking a look!
You will be able to test the latest mobile version along with Shoppica 2 very soon
Best,
