I liked the flexible features which are not available at opencart theme, I know they are different platforms but I wished that they are in opencart too ….Like editing copy right text box , logo padding, footer columns, slideshow settings, widget settings and Backup. REALLY POWERFUL. Will buy it and try it |

To echo Salhah, it would be really great if some of these features could be included in the Open Cart Shoppica theme. Specifically the sliders and expanded control panel functionality. Shoppica is currently the best selling theme for Open Cart by a large margin and we are sure the many people using Shoppica with Open Cart would appreciate the additional features. We have been working with Open Cart extremely successfully for the last 6 months. We would switch to WordPress if it offered a significant advantage to doing so, but we haven’t seen any explanation of the advantages of WordPress over Open Cart. |

Is there a way to utilize the wp theme for certain aspects but have it also call the cart contents and some other information from opencart? I’d like to use wordpress for the landing pages and blog and have opencart installed in a subdirectory to use as the shopping cart. |

@Salhah, @yumasia – we’re definitely thinking about adding such features to opencart, but this requires significant amount of development. WordPress has built-in functionality for managing widgets and opencart hasn’t event a widget concept. We are investigating possible solutions however. @honeybroker – integrating wordpress and opencart so deep is not an easy task. We do not have such plans for now. Regards, |
