Hello,

I manage a website of a customer using your excellent Shoppica template in a WordPress CMS. The site uses Woocommerce plugin for e-commerce as well.

We have tested the responsiveness of the template with various mobiles and we face a problem. Although in some models all is running fine, whe have been noticed (and we have checked) that for some others there is a sistemathic effect: when we go to the cart page to make the checkout and having added one or more products, suddenly the cart is set to zero (no products added) and the customers cannot finish the purchase process.

We have experienced this effect for more than one customer. The most popular mobile in which we face problem is the following one:

Apple iPhone, iOS version 7.1.2.

The above mentioned website is: http://www.mondelallar.com

Although Shoppica is running fine for some mobiles, we need to ensure the purchase is possible no matter the mobile device used, and specially with the last version of iPhone. This is critical for the bussiness.

This is a big problem for us, because we are losing sales. We would be grateful for your help.

Thank you in advance and best regards.

Hello,

I have just closed two other posts thanks to your excellent work solving other issues I have found with Shoppica.

I wonder if this this post has been seen by your support team (since it was posted 9 days ago) or, for some reason, has been neglected.

Please, I will be grateful if you send me some feedback about it. As commented in the initial post, this issue is a potential (in some cases real) loss of sales in my e-commerce.

Thank you in advance and best regards.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay but we are working on compatibility patch for Woocommerce 2.2 version which is very urgent.

Do you face the problem only with iPhone? We will try to replicate this problem.

As soon we find solution we will let you know.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi guys,

firs of all thank you for your response.

I have the problem faced with the above mentioned iPhone, anyway I will try to replicate the problem with an Android-based smartphone and let you know. By the moment I have not experienced problems with my Samsung Galaxy Core, but I will check as commented, cause I am not 100% sure the problem is restricted to the iPhone only.

In the meanwhile I will be grateful for any feedback from you about your progress with the iPhone.

Thank you again and best regards

Hi guys,

I have experienced additional problems with the cart, in this case from the website itself. I think the issue is not related to a “mobile” but a more general one. Let me give you more feedback:

Now my website is running on the following basis:

- WordPress is 3.9.2 (not updated)
- Working with Woocommerce 2.1.11 (not updated)
- Shoppica 1.4.3 (not updated)

I have seen in:

http://themeforest.net/item/shoppica-responsive-ecommerce-wordpress-theme/3644899?WT.ac=search_item&WT.z_author=ThemeBurn

that Shoppica is compatible with Woocommerce and WordPress up to:

-Woocommerce 2.1.x
-Wordpress 3.9

Because the above mentioned reasons, I am not updating, neither to Woocommerce nor to WordPress.

The sequence in which the error arises, and it is generating a lot of abandoned carts, is the following one:

1) Go to http://mondelallar.com/
2) Go to any of the products in the middle of the screen (see screen capture file “step 1″) and clic in the text “Añadir al carrito” (add to cart)
3 See the counter of the cart in the top right corner (step 2) remains at zero value. Anyway, if you enter in “My cart” is shows the right selected price.

Because the price counter in the top right corner is not properly “refreshed”, potential purchasers are abandoning the sales process. This is not an issue for mobiles but for the whole site. I give you the data to access following:

Please, I will be gratefull if you give me feedback as soon as possible. This is a very bad issue for me. I hope this info will clarify. I had not realized previously about this in the site. I attach screen captures.

Thanks!

Hi guys,

I think I have goods news. Because I was in a hurry, I have been assessed by a SW engineer who has found the sourdce of the problem. He has found a missig line code and, once re-established, all is running OK either thorugh mobile or desktop computer.

I am still talking to the engineer and asking him the reason of this missing line. Once I will receive his feedback I will let you know because nowadays I do not know if the issue is due to some actions I have done or is a bug.

Thanks!

Additional information, the problem has been a missing line in the template, in Woofunctions inside the folder “/library”.

I suspect that we have erased inadvertently the line when modifying the template.

Sorry for the unconvenience and thank you for your efforts.

Hi again,

It seems the problem with

Apple iPhone, iOS version 7.1.2. remains, so I would be grateful if you check the initial problem, because here two problems have been added and only the one from the desktop PC and Android are solved but some thing still happens with iPhone.

Thanks!

Hi guys,

we have solved the issue with the iPhone as well. It was a question of refreshment of the interface of the iPhone unit so I think the topic can be closed.

Thank you for your efforts anyway, really it was our fault by deleting by accident a line of the code, now the template is running very fine.
