Hello,
We have problems with the template. Our hosting provider told us that it creates tons of big session files (around 2 MB each) and even if we have more than enough free space it eventually fills it up and break our server. In one day the website generate hundreds of sessions and must to delete them every day to prevent the disk from filling up.
Please help us fix this annoying problem.
Best regards,

Hi,
Can you please attach a session file? You need to zip it first.
Thanks and BR,

Hi,
Where are these files stored (exact folder)? Can you please try to switch back to the default theme and see if these files are generated again?

These files are located in: /.cagefs/tmp/. See the screenshoot atached.
We’ve been using opencart for a very long time, and I’ve never had this problem at any online store. This is the first time when we have this problem and this template is the one that generates these files in tmp directory. Normally these files should be deleted automaticaly after a certain time.
We have also own several stores on OC 1.5.6 and none of them have any problems like this.
If you need we can create a FTP account for you to check.
Thanks.

As we have assumed, our theme is not responsible for generating the session files you have attached above. These are not cache files or some data that is used by the theme.
An extensions of yours (Paladin SEO Manager) is putting all of the site’s data in the session (a rather unprofessional approach). This is the reason the session files grow so big. These files are generated even when you enable the default theme, but their size is smaller (that’s not a suruprise- the default theme has fewer data elements).
We close this topic as resolved.
