Hi,

What was the solution for this problem? I have a similar problem with Hungarian special characters.
The fonts are set correct, I set the latin and latin-ext fonts too.

All text works with special characters good (for example product pages, category pages, titles, etc.), but only the text blocks and html blocks show wrong characters. In ckeditor I see the good characters, but on the shop it replaced to wrong.

I use the latest Pavilion 2.1.2 (Burn Engine 1.1.2)

Thanks,
Szilard

So. I found an other topic in this forum, and try the solution, but not working :(

1. I set ckeditor config the following: config.entities_latin = false;
After that, now ckeditor don’t encode the special characters.

2. I check, the wrong characters show good on ckeditor and I check the database with phpmyadmin too. The database store the correct UTF8 characters.

3. Text widget, html widget, and for example call to action widget show wrong characters for UTF8 texts. But for example the banner widget show the correct characters.

4. I try the text_html_block_encoding_patch.zip, this file I found in other post in this forum, but not working :( The site show the wrong characters on this widgets.

I need an urgent solution for this problem :(

So. I would like to specify the previous post: Call to action works great with correct characters, the only character problem is the html widget, and the text widget.

@Nextprint

This problem should have been fixed with your theme version. We will have to take a look at the live example, so we can identify the problem. Can you please provide admin and ftp access and the exact place (page and widget) where the problem is presented.

You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

Thanks for your help.

What was the problem? I need to know, what files modified, because I plan to rebuild the full store, and before this, I want to make a backup of the modification.

The only modified file is system/vendor/BurnEngine/model/defaultModel.php. As said previously, this change will be included in the next minor release too, so you don’t have to keep backups.
