Good Evening,
I upgraded from Opencart 2.0.1.1 to Opencart 2.2.0.0
I upgraded Pavilion 1.2.5 to Burnengine 1.1.3
Everything seemed to go smoothly except there is no stories module. It has disappeared and I can’t find a place to install the one that goes with burn engine.
Can you help me figure this out.
Thanks

Hi,
We will need the website url, admin and ftp access, so we can check.
You can use hidepost to share private information with the support staff.

Thank you!
Its the development site. I will be transferring the files back to the primary domain after I finish updating the site. Please let me know if there is something I will have to do after the migration.
Thanks,
Kyle

I know you are busy with the holidays and extra support requests. If you have time to pop over and see what is up I would appreciate it. I would like to take it live next week.

Hi,
We see this is a production server and didn’t want to break something. Have you tried to uninstall and again install the Blog (Stories) module:

We could try and dig into the installation, but didn’t want to break something on the other store (honeyjar).

Thanks for the reply. I have tried reinstalling the stories module but to no effect. I think I may do a clean install of opencart and burnengine on a localhost and then export the databases and import them to the clean install. Unless you think there is a better way.

Hi,
We could take a look, but we need to make sure there is no problem, if we break something. About a new installation, there should be no problems with the blog module, or at least we haven’t been reported.

I was able to fix the issue. I downloaded the most recent update. Disabled both the theme and the blog module. Uploaded the new theme and then re-installed the blog module and reactivated the theme. It fixed the missing stories/blog issue.
Thanks

Thanks for updating us. To be honest, Pavilion to BurnEngine upgrade has never been planned as a full settings transfer. There are just too many differences so there is a 100% accurate migration.

Understood. I treated it as if I were installing a new theme altogether. I uninstalled the other theme and installed burn engine. Then manually adjusted all of the settings. The other thing that perplexed me was the after installing burn engine the burn engine stories module never showed up. I thought it might be a glitch caused by the other template. After your suggestion of reinstalling the theme I created a new clean install of opencart 2.2.0.0 as well as the latest release of burn engine. The blog module showed up as it should. After that I moved the desired databases over to the new install and we were back in business.
Thank you
