i have tried upgrading to the new opencart and pavilion. i am upgrading to opencart 2.0.1.1 and pavilion 1.2.3. i have uploaded all the new files and run the install from the url. however, the install/upgrade doesn’t complete and i get an error “Notice: unserialize(): Error at offset 55633 of 55657 bytes in /home/fakepath/public_html/index.php on line 54″

i am just trying to upgrade to the new versions and do not know if i am doing something wrong. if there is anyway you can help me to do this upgrade i would appreciate. thanks in advance.

I couldn’t get the upgrade to work. I might be doing something wrong and I’m not sure but I tried several times (starting fresh from backups) and they all failed. Is there a specific guide on how I should do the update or another process to try and upgrade?

Also do I need to disable or uninstall extensions/modules before an upgrade? If so, can I backup my Pavilion CP settings and restore them?

Thanks for your help

Did you try to modify install/opencart.sql file before the upgrade, as suggested ? We have positive feedback on this solution.

I tried that solution and it did not work.

Hi,

you should do this modification before doing the actual upgrade (on working OpenCart and Pavilion). If you did the upgrade already and it gives and error, modifying install/opencart.sql and running the upgrade again won’t fix anything. You have to restore the previous version of the site with the Pavilion theme installed and working (before the upgrade), then do the suggested modification and run the upgrade thereafter. If you did this and it didn’t help we will need the website url, admin and ftp access, so we can check. Please, revert the site to a working state (the Pavilion theme must be selected and working), so we can do the upgrade manually to identify the error.

I did the upgrade! It took some work but I transferred information from old database to new database and the website is working!!!

I have another question. Why is that when i go to my website like https://www.example.com the small icons do not show for the shopping cart?

Also, is there a way to enable https everywhere?

Hi,

Which theme file would I need to edit to completely hide “Availability:” information from product pages.

Thanks.

Hi,

1) Missing icons is a domain related problem. E.g. domain.com and www.domain.com are two different domains. You need to set a redirection and use only the address you have set during OC installation

2) Availability feature is a default OC functionality and is not controlled by Pavilion.

Hi. If I remove the following from product.tpl will this remove availability information without any adverse effects?

Thanks….

Hi,

Removing information from templates shouldn’t cause any problems.
