Uploaded BurnEngine but won’t install properly

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesPavilion OpenCart ThemeUploaded BurnEngine but won’t install properly

This topic has been marked as resolved.

I cannot post in the forum — I can only edit. Please help as I desperately need support. Have my permissions been change or something?

Note: I posted this yesterday but it got marked as spam.

I am working on an existing OpenCart site. I upgraded to the latest OpenCart and vqmod and then bought Pavillion and went on to install it. I uploaded the files and got to the stage where I need to install Burn Engine in Extensions > Extensions. I get the following:

BurnEngine has not booted. This can be a result of an improper installation or an event deletion from a third party plugin.

I have tried reinstalling the theme and BurnEngine but it makes no difference. You get the same message if you uninstall too.

I followed all the instructions and to my knowledge there are no plugins installed. Any ideas? Please let me know if you want FTP and/or database access.

Here you go.

You have major problems with your forum, by the way. Half the time messages don’t post and you get no feedback.

Hi,

we examined thoroughly your server, but couldn’t find any incompatibilities with our theme. However we found that there are issues with the default OpenCart installation. We are not able to install any modifications at all. You can try to install the attached modification (you should unzip it first), which is very basic SSL modification. You can also try to hit the refresh button in the `extensions -> modifications` page – it gives a lot of errors.

We don’t know if this is a modified OpenCart installation or there are server issues we are not aware of, but our theme relies on working OpenCart base. You will have similar issues with any other theme or extension as well.

Sadly, debugging OpenCart issues that are not related to our products is not included in our free support. You could ask in the official OpenCart forums for help or try a new clean installation.

Thanks for looking into it. Where is the attachment?

I will try this and then, if not, a fresh install. I inherited this project so can’t say whether the core had been modified.

Sorry,
the attachment upload must have failed. Here is the attached extension, but you can try with any 3th party extension as well. It is only to demonstrate that your OpenCart installation has issues that are not connected with the theme. These issues prevent extensions from installing and that’s why the theme fails to install, which would happen with other extensions and themes too.
