warning message while switching to shoppica 2

ThemeBurn SupportForumsOpenCart ThemesShoppica 2 OpenCart Themewarning message while switching to shoppica 2

This topic has been marked as resolved.

I tried to switch from shoppica to shoppica2.
Followed all the below steps in your documentation properly.
>>uploaded shoppica2 theme files via ftp,
>>overwritten the index.php file with yours
>>activated the theme in store settings
>>installed it under extensions>>modules>>Shoppica 2 CP>>install

I get this warning once i click store front inside the admin panel,
“Warning!
You see this message because Shoppica 2 is not properly installed/configured. This happens usually due one (or more) of the following reasons:”

Then i tried these additional steps too. [Nothing happened i am still stuck with that same warning]
1. disabled old shoppica inside modules>>Shoppica Theme CP>>edit
2. Uninstalled old shopica inside modules>>Shoppica Theme CP>>uninstall
3. switched my theme to “default” opencart theme and it loaded properly. Then I switched it again back to shoppica2. still no luck.

Thanks in advance.

Solved it.

I manually replaced the below files by overwriting them individually via ftp. It would be better if shoppica2 does this automatically while uploading the theme files at the first instance itself.

“3. You have not replaced the opencart core files (system/engine/controller.php and catalog/model/setting/extension.php) with these provided with the Shoppica package. ”

Thanks.

Hi mate,

These files should be in the theme package. Maybe you haven’t replaced them the first time?

Hi,

Its true that these files were there in the theme package. strangely they didn’t upload properly the first time I uploaded them to my server via ftp. After seeing the warning message, I checked my installation folder in my server and these files were there in the server but the site kept showing the warning message.

Then i manually searched for those files inside the theme package and uploaded them again by overwriting the existing files. Then it worked.
