I was wondering how to control how wide the submenu opens when using
Static/Url with a sub-menu? it seems to be 100% with not option or self-sizing?

Hi,

Can we take a look at the live example (admin as well)? Generally, submenus (if not megamenus) are with a fixed size of around 200px.
