BE on OC 2.2

Hello,

I have been testing the BurnEngine beta on OC 2.1.0.2, and it is really great. Much quicker than my live Shoppica on OC 1.5.6. Really, it is fantastic. :-)

Now half way through the beta testing OC 2.2 has come along….Wld exporting my test BE site settings to an OC 2.2 install be easy? Is installing OC 2.2 even worth it?

I guess it is better to upgrade now before I go live, but upgrading OC never seems to be easy so any opinion would be much appreciated.

Hi,

For the moment OC 2.2 is not a recommended version for production use. Here is an interesting topic that gives more information:

About theme settings, maybe you have checked the new export tool? Everything is packed in a single archive and then can be imported with on click.

I think I’ll just stick with OC 2.1.0.2 and BurnEngine for now. It’s quick, my mods work and basically it is good! :-)

If you had pointed out something *really* awesome about running BE on OC2.2 I would have considered upgrading now.
